Zaltron was born in Turin in 1932 and subsequently devoted his life to ceramics. After the war he started working with almost all the manufacturers active in Turin who produced small statues. Including Ars Pulchra, and Sandro Vacchetti's Essevi. He then started working in the studio of sculptor and famous ceramist Victor Cerrato . After his time at Cerrato, Zaltron started to follow his own path and in 1959 he had a solo exhibition at the famous Galleria Il Sestante in Milan, where he exhibited works made of glazed earth, majolica and ceramics but after he started to focus on furnishing accessories and used all kinds of materials such as bronze, glass and wood.
